India is ready to face the second wave of the Covid-19 and the vaccination starts from March 1. The second wave of Corona will affect mainly persons of age above 45 to 60 years.

The Covid-19 checkup and details app called Arogya Sethu has been integrated with the app CoWIN. Through CoWIN the users can download the vaccination certificate. The details of the app were announced on the Arogya Sethu’s Twitter page.

If you received at least one dose of Covid-19 vaccine then you can download the vaccination certificate through the CoWin app.

To get the Vaccination certificate the user has to register themselves in the portal and enter the 14-digit reference ID. The person should aware that they are using the registered mobile number. The registrations will be opened at 9 AM on March 1 till 3 PM every day.

  1. First, visit the official website of the CoWin through the following link. It will be directed you to the home page of the portal.
  2. https://selfregistration.cowin.gov.in/vaccination-certificate
  3. The home page of the portal will appear on your screen.
  4. On the home page, enter your mobile number or Aadhaar number.
  5. Click on Get OTP.
  6. Type the OTP which you received on your mobile number.
  7. Click on the Verify button.
  8. Choose the Photo ID proof.
  9. Enter the ID number i.e. Aadhaar or PAN or any other proof number.
  10. Type your Name as per Aadhaar.
  11. Select your gender and year of birth.
  12. Click on Register.
  13. Once you register, visit the vaccination center at a given time and get the verification done.
  14. You will get the reference ID, note down it to get the certificate.
  15. The user will get the vaccination every time wherever they take a dose.

Though the vaccination isn’t available for the public as we know the first phase still underway. The CoWin app is not currently available to download and still in development. So the people don’t download other apps similar that of the name of CoWin. They may access your personal data.

  1. Unable to download the certificate . Cowin details show that the registered people are vaccinated but the documented for one is actually a blank document. Called the hospital where the process took place but they advised that these are updated by the goverment . Called the helpline and 1075 but was advised that the hospital should have given it.

  5. Taken 2nd Dose of Covishield vaccine today 19th April 2021, but the certificate received shows as 1st dose and a provisional certificate is issued instead of final certificate. How to get it rectified? The vaccinating hospital staff could not give any solution.

SMS received from COWIN on date 01.04.2021 at 1.26 PM confirming 1st dose with COVISHIELD on 23 .03.2021 to Neeru Kumar and Virendra Kumar, but the Status at Cowin website is not showing Vaccination confirmation. As a result certificate of same could not be downloaded due to Beneficiary ID, not provided by Paras Hospital, Gurgaon where 1st dose was taken.
    Now 2nd dose is due and Paras Hospital does not have Vaccine stock, the other vaccination center will demand 1st dose vaccination certificate, how to proceed. Please acknowledge and help.

    1- Middle name entered in certificate: NADEEM
    2- Correct name: NASEEM
    Kindly verify my name from my Aadhar card and do the needful.
